Ripple-Edged Skirt and Topper

This pattern is for a brightly-colored, bold skirt and vest edged in the ripple stitch.  Change up the color combinations for a softer look or just make the skirt all on its own.

Reynold’s Fall Plumage

“Birds of a feather knit together.”

Here is a great Reynold’s yarn ad.  Jumbo needles where the new rage and are still quite popular today for quick, simple, and straightforward designs.  These designs are very contemporary.  It isn’t hard imagining them being worn today.

Stained Glass Shell

I thought this would be a great pattern to start with. What could be more vintage than some granny square crochet from the early 1970’s?  This project was orginally featured in a Woman’s Day publication on granny square crochet. Though the pattern is listed in only a small size, be creative and add a few more squares and triangles to upsize the garment.
